Survey Support

Richard Day Research surveys are to be taken only by the intended individuals: either members of a third-party survey panel, or specific people from a list that RDR has been provided with. RDR is not currently accepting people to join their survey audience.

Survey Instructions

The first few questions of our surveys will determine whether or not you fit the desired audience of the survey. If you are not in the intended audience, then the survey will end and you will not get credit for completing the survey. Some surveys may involve a direct honorarium for completing the survey - in these cases, there will be a short form to fill out at the end of the survey.

The survey is divided into separate screens - in some cases, there may be more than one question per screen. To enter your responses, you may click on your answer, or enter your answer in the box provided. To skip between questions on a screen, TAB from question to question. Please review your responses carefully before clicking on the NEXT button (located at the bottom center of the screen). YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GO BACK TO A SCREEN ONCE IT IS COMPLETED.

In order to receive credit for the survey, please ensure you have answered all questions. If the survey has not explicitly said that you have answered all the questions, then you might not be credited with completion and thus would not be eligible for any compensation.

All information/results will be confidential and only shared with the company commissioning the survey. View our privacy policy to find out more.

Question Instructions

RDR tries to make the survey-taking experience as interesting as possible by introducing a wide array of question types. Some questions are more complicated than others, and require further instructions.

Sliders

To indicate your preference for slider questions, click and drag each pointer to the desired position. If you don't know your preference, check the box in the "Don't Know" column. The corresponding row will turn pink to indicate you can no longer change it.

Drag and Drop

"Drag and drop questions" will ask you to click and drag items from the column on the left to the column on the right, such that the item on the top is your favorite, and the item on the bottom is your least favorite. You can also use the arrows to move items, as opposed to dragging them to the desired position.

Card Sort

For a Card sort question, there will be a stack of "cards", each containing a concept. Above will be a series of boxes, representing a scale. To complete the question, drag each card from the box below to the desired spot on the scale. The card will snap into the slot, where you can drag it again if you want to reconsider your answer. Place all the cards from the bottom box into the scale to continue.
