Most of your time will be spent in 1) analyzing and managing data and helping write reports and 2) project management, working with IT to program and test questionnaires, working with vendors for research sample, coordinating and helping to manage data collection efforts, cleaning data and working with assistants to code it.
Depending on your experience, there can be study/questionnaire design work. Working with clients directly will be in proportion to your experience. You will work with a very experienced Senior Client/Project Director. You will also work with very bright, motivated people, all of whom want you to succeed. The pace is fast.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare Markets, Public Relations, or Financial Services, experience with statistical software, such as SPSS, excellent Excel skills, and knowledge and experience with basic statistics, with a desire to learn more.

Richard Day Research an Evanston based market research firm seeks a part-time Research Assistant able to work 20 hours a week and on some occasions, more.
We need someone who has a proven attention to detail. Much of the work involves proofreading and checking numbers for accuracy, preparing sample files, creating variable and value labels.
Proven Excel skills are a major asset, along with familiarity with statistical programs (SPSS, for example).
Pay is $14 hr to start. Exposure to market research and opportunities to contribute and learn are a benefit. We have full time staff members who began in this job.
